M/S/C that NADC allocate up to seven thousand dollars ($7,000) to the Political Action budget for the upcoming municipal/school board/regional district elections, November 19th, 2005 and that the deadline for applicants for the funding must be received on or before November 4, 2005.
M/S/C that NADC Political Action funds will be allocated on the financial needs of the candidates upon presentation of a campaign budget with a maximum of five hundred dollars ($500) per candidate upfront.

PSAC Appeal to Federal Court for Appeal re: Municipal Employees Providing Support Services for RCMP
M/S/C that NADC demand that CUPE National take this issue to Canadian Labour Congress
and that CUPE National demand that the CLC apply sanctions against PSAC so that
PSAC cease and desist.
M/S/C that NADC prepare a resolution to the CUPE BC Convention for referral to CLC convention in June.

2. Notice of Motion – Section 5 - Finance
(a)
The President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Secretary Treasurer shall have signing authority for the Council. Two of the four signatures will be required on all cheques issued by the Council.
M/S/C that NADC approve the above Bylaw change.
3. Notice of Motion - Section 6 - Officers
The Officers of the District Council shall be the President, First Vice-President at Large,
Second Vice-President at Large, three (3) Area Vice-Presidents, Secretary-Treasurer,
Recording/Corresponding Secretary, Diversity Vice-President, Young Worker, three (3)
Trustees. All officers shall be elected by the membership.
M/S/C that NADC approve the above Bylaw change.
4. Notice of Motion - Section 8 – Duties of Officers
(c) The Second Vice-President at Large shall:
·

be an advocate on diversity / equity issues to the District Council and act as a liaison between CARD and the District Council.

(h)
The Young Worker shall:
·
function as an Executive position on the District Council,
·
shall be the name put forward on behalf of NADC to CUPE BC Young Worker’s committee,
·
be the one to represent the District Council on CUPE BC Young Worker’s committee,
·
report to the District Council on the activities of the Young Workers in writing so that it can be included in the District Council’s minutes,
·
be an advocate on young worker’s issues to the District Council and act as a liaison between Young Worker and the District Council.

M/S/C that a NADC social for NADC delegates up to a maximum of five hundred dollars
($500) be held at CUPE BC Convention, April 26-29, 2006
